Scrum Master

EXPERIENCE: 5 – 10 YEARS

Position Summary

As a Scrum Master, you will enable AIQ’s engineering and product teams to deliver predictably and improve continuously. You will facilitate Scrum events, remove impediments, and coach the team and stakeholders on effective agile ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum events (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives), keeping them effective and time-boxed.
• Coach the team and wider organisation on Scrum, Kanban, and agile principles, fostering self-organisation and accountability.
• Identify and remove impediments that block the team’s progress, escalating where necessary.
• Work with Product Owners to maintain a healthy, well-refined backlog and clear sprint goals.
• Track and communicate delivery metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) and surface risks and dependencies early.
• Shield the team from external interruptions and help manage stakeholder expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and concrete action items.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 5 – 10 years of experience in software delivery, including hands-on experience as a Scrum Master.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and scaled-agile frameworks.
• Experience with agile tooling such as Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Scrum certification (e.g. PSM, CSM) is preferred.
