About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior .NET Developer with a solid understanding of C# and the .NET ecosystem to join our development team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career software engineer who is eager to build high-quality applications, learn from experienced developers, and grow within a collaborative Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain applications using C# and the .NET platform.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with senior developers to improve code quality.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects.
- Work with relational databases to design, query, and maintain application data.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to application testing, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Continuously learn new technologies and development practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in software development (internships and academic projects are welcome).
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
Required Technical Skills
Programming
- Strong fundamentals in C#.
- Good understanding of the .NET platform (.NET Core/.NET 6+ or .NET Framework).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
Web Development
- Basic knowledge of ASP.NET Core.
- Experience building or consuming RESTful APIs.
- Basic understanding of HTTP, JSON, and web application architecture.
Databases
- Experience writing SQL queries.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server or another relational database.
- Understanding of database normalization and relationships.
Development Tools
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code.
- Basic understanding of NuGet package management.
Software Engineering
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Basic understanding of debugging, unit testing, and code quality practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Entity Framework Core.
- Knowledge of LINQ.
- Familiarity with dependency injection.
- Exposure to Azure or other cloud platforms.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts.
- Personal projects or GitHub portfolio demonstrating C#/.NET development.
