Role Overview
As an Oracle EBS Techno-Functional Consultant (HCM), you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end Oracle E-Business Suite solutions across HCM modules. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business requirements into system solutions, while also contributing hands-on to technical development, support, and enhancements.
This role requires a balanced techno-functional skillset, with the ability to handle both functional design and technical execution across full lifecycle Oracle EBS implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Functional & Business Analysis
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and map them to Oracle EBS HCM functionalities (Core HR, Payroll, OTL, Absence, Talent).
- Prepare functional documents including BRD, FS, and configuration documents.
- Conduct workshops and solution walkthroughs with business stakeholders.
Technical Development & Support
- Develop and support technical components such as reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions (RICE components).
- Work with tools such as PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, Forms, and APIs.
- Collaborate with technical teams on integrations with external systems.
Implementation & Delivery
- Participate in and deliver at least 2 full-cycle Oracle EBS implementations (from requirement gathering to go-live and support).
- Configure system setups, workflows, profiles, and security.
- Support data migration, cutover, and deployment activities.
Testing, QA & Support
- Prepare and execute unit testing, SIT, and UAT.
- Provide post-go-live support, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
- Handle production support issues and continuous system improvements.
Stakeholder & Communication
- Act as a key liaison between business users and technical teams.
- Provide user training and ongoing functional/technical support.
- Ensure clear communication of requirements, solutions, and issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, HR, or related field.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
- Strong techno-functional expertise in Oracle HCM EBS modules.
- At least 2 full-cycle Oracle EBS implementations (mandatory).
- Hands-on experience in both functional configuration and technical development.
- Strong understanding of HR and payroll business processes.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Oracle EBS HCM modules (Core HR, Payroll, OTL, Absence, Talent).
- Solid technical skills in:
- PL/SQL
- Oracle Reports / Forms
- Interfaces, APIs, and data migration
- Experience with RICE components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle EBS or HCM certifications.
- Experience in large enterprise or banking environments.
- Experience with integrations between HCM, Finance, and third-party systems.
